Coding + Digital Design
Coding + Digital Design
For Campers Entering 2nd – 4th Grade, Fall 2026
Get ready to imagine, design, and code! In this camp, kids dive into the creative side of technology as they build games, animations, and interactive stories using Scratch. Along the way, they learn how code makes things move, react, and come to life—developing problem-solving skills through hands-on experimentation. Campers also become digital designers, creating eye-catching graphics, editing images, and building imaginative 3D models of their own ideas. Fun design challenges connect the digital and physical worlds, giving campers chances to turn characters and creations from screen to real life. Designed for both beginners and more confident creators, this camp encourages curiosity, creativity, and playful exploration while building real tech skills. By the end of the week, kids leave with a collection of original digital projects and a big boost of confidence in what they can create with technology. No previous coding experience is required; however campers must be comfortable working independently on a computer, including operating the computer using a mouse and reading and understanding basic words used to code.
Additional Topics Include: Boolean Operators, Conditional Statements, Loops, Variables, Photo Manipulation, Canva, 3D Modeling, Web Design, Video Editing, Marketing Techniques
