For Campers Entering Kindergarten + 1st Grade, Fall 2021
Calling all engineers, explorers, and math maniacs! The Launch team is on a mission to inspire our youngest campers with exciting STEM activities using materials found around the home. The following three online mini-camps offer live, instructor-guided activities in a small group setting (max 4 campers) for one hour per day. Enjoy 50 minutes of project time and then, for those young ones with online endurance, stay for an optional 10 minutes of collaborative games. Worried about your child’s screen time or attention span? Launch provides pre-recorded videos and printable guides for all of our projects so your child can enjoy the camp offline or at a later time!
Mission STEM: Construct / Mission STEM: Create
Two science and engineering camps = twice the projects = two times the fun and learning! Mission STEM: Construct and Mission STEM: Create are two separate and unique project-based mini-camps that offer an enriching STEM experience in a condensed virtual format that’s appropriate for rising K and 1st grade kids. From building tall paper structures to exploring buoyancy through boats, both of Launch’s science and engineering camps reveal the inner builder in every child.

Mission STEM: Calculate
Bring on the fun and games in this inspiring math-based mini-camp. With topics from symmetry to summation, Launch’s Mission STEM: Calculate camp offers entertaining and engaging activities in a virtual, small group environment. Our mini-mathematicians explore patterns with Pascal’s triangle and create perplexing möbius strips from paper! Launch campers are captivated by mathematical puzzles, problems, and art all week long. The camp is designed for children of all skill levels.

The Mission STEM: Construct, Create, and Calculate virtual camps are sure to bring out the scientist, engineer, and mathematician in every child. Each weeklong camp’s live classes are held via Zoom, Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
