Calling all phone app designers for an all-new set of coding challenges! In this virtual class, kids create their very own phone apps for use on mobile and tablet devices! With a user-friendly “drag-and-drop” interface similar to Scratch, this app building course enables kids to learn how to design a GUI (graphical user interface), where to place buttons and text, and how to strategically use multiple screens. A functioning calculator, an emoji generator, and a tricky color sleuth game are just a few of the apps that can be made (and played) in this exciting tech course!

Previous experience coding with Scratch or similar highly recommended. Students must have a computer in order to code (not a tablet). It is highly recommended but not required that students use one computer to code and another device (tablet, computer) to participate in the Zoom class at the same time. Apps can be played on a computer, tablet, or phone.
