mBot Robotics
mBot Robotics
Grades 5th To 7th
Join the maker movement with this hands-on robotics class, where kids build their very own “mBot” robot to take home at the end of the course! Starting with an introduction to electronics, students work with engaging components like an Arduino-compatible microcontroller, motor driver, buzzer, and infrared sensor. As they construct their robots from the ground up, they’ll learn to program its “brain” using a beginner-friendly coding language similar to Scratch. Soon, their robots will be playing soccer, bowling, navigating mazes, and more! By the end of the semester, each child will have a fully autonomous, obstacle-avoiding robot to explore, experiment with, and enjoy long after the class concludes.
Additional Topics Include: Coding Logic, Robot Assembly, Electrical Engineering, Interactive Responses, Motors/Gears/Sensors, Problem Solving
