Phenomenal Physics
For Students Entering 5th – 7th Grade, Fall 2022
In this exciting branch of the natural sciences we explore matter and its motion and behavior through space and time. From straightforward laws of motion to the complex theory of relativity, our young physicists investigate theories that govern our very existence in this physical world we live in. With projects ranging from the construction of a Newton’s Cradle and the assembly of a spectroscope to a very dynamic smoke vortex demonstration, kids analyze the scientific principles of energy, optics, fluid dynamics and more in order to better understand the fundamental physics behind their creations. And let’s not forget about the fascinating Twin Paradox – where kids learn that time stands still when traveling at the speed of light!
Additional Topics Include: Elastic vs. Inelastic Collisions, Conservation Of Energy, Velocity And Acceleration, Sound Waves, Magnetism
